Sheri Benninghoven, APR SAE Communications[/caption] Sheri Benninghoven brings a wealth of public affairs, corporate and high tech experience to her clients, having served in the worlds of agency, association and government public relations. She is principal of SAE Communications, a communications consultancy which helps public agencies develop communications, crisis and public involvement plans. A sampling of current and past clients includes the California Lottery; the cities of San Jose, Reno and Carlsbad; the San Jose Mineta International Airport; Santa Clara University; and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. Sheri is a former Vice President/Group Manager of Ketchum Public Relations, the fifth largest public relations agency in the world, where she managed their high technology and public sector practice groups, assisting to develop economic development programs for the cities of Pomona, Brea and Baldwin Park, the New Los Angeles Marketing Partnership and the Antelope Valley Economic Development Partnership. She served as the first Director of Communications for the League of California Cities and Public Information Officer for the City of Anaheim. Sheri is a past member of the Adjunct Faculty of the University of Southern California, Annenberg School of Communication and a graduate of California State University, Fullerton’s College of Communications, which named her to its “Wall of Fame.” Sheri served as chapter president of the Public Relations Society of America, from which she is accredited, is a long-time member of CAPIO, is a founder of the City-County Communications and Marketing Association (3CMA) as well as the California Specialized Training Institute Crisis Communications and the Media course.
