CAPIO is pleased to welcome two new board members to our 2019-2021 Board of Directors.  Joining our team - Thomas Reeves from the City of Modesto and Teresa Collins from the City of Escondido.

Thomas Reeves is the community and media relations officer for the City Manager’s office at the City of Modesto.  He takes on the mantle of Central CA Director-at-Large.  As the top communications official for the 17th largest city in California, Thomas has direct leadership over Modesto’s public information, social media, community engagement, and marketing projects.  “I am excited to join the CAPIO board and work to expand the benefits and the feeling of community within the Central California Region,” Thomas states.

Teresa Collins is the communications manager at the City of Escondido managing communications and community outreach for the City.  She has supported the CAPIO Awards program as a committee member for more than four years.  She is taking on the role of Vice President of Awards and will manage the EPIC Awards Program held in conjunction with the 2020 CAPIO Annual Conference.  “I’m excited to continue the legacy of the CAPIO EPIC Awards program - an important recognition program for government agencies.  It is important we celebrate success and also have the opportunity to learn about other agencies’ success and the creative work being done in the public information field,” shared Teresa.
