Registration is is in full swing for the California Association of Public Information Officials’ 2025 annual conference! From April 1-4, we invite you to Soar Higher with 600 fellow CAPIO colleagues over Napa Valley, California’s famed and picturesque wine country.

Our 2025 theme – Soar Higher – evokes imagery of Napa’s iconic hot air balloons, soaring over rolling green hills and lush vineyards. It’s also an invitation to reach for new heights in your mastery of public communications. Each year, CAPIO aims high to inspire, elevate and advance public sector communicators with a week dedicated to education, connection, recharging and celebrating excellence.

Highlights this year will include keynotes from Josh Hirsh “the AI Dude” and Peggy Flynn, City Manager for the City of Petaluma who came from the comms world. Breakout sessions from your CAPIO peers include topics such as branding, data analytics, building and maintaining trust, digital accessibility, creative campaigns, and more.
